My favorite item would have to be the chefs, especially Teddy, he is dreamy!! But for food I would have to pick the butternut squash soup, its to die for!!

Today, Saturday October 31st, was mine and Judy’s first visit to your excellent restaurant. We enjoyed the ambiance, the friendly staff, including Mr. Copeland himself. Hailey provided excellent service even though she was stretched thin trying to cover the entire restaurant by herself. The food was exceedingly good. Excellent is not an overstatement. We have already bragged to our neighbors about AVA. I might mention 1 small negative and that is that the soup spoon was larger than necessary. Probably for the bowl of soup that size spoon would be fine, but for the cup a smaller utensil would be my preference. Thank you Mr. Copeland, Mr. Tate and Mr. Bryant for your fine restaurant.

How can I pick one thing??? I love the mussels, love the scallops… last time I came I had the foie gras sliders and they were incredible.

Overall: great atmosphere, great food, great service.

    Keep up the great work!

My husband and I visited for the first time last weekend, and the food was wonderful. I had the warm spinach salad and the butternut squash ravioli. A mouthful of the nutty and buttery flavors of the ravioli was like talking a bite of autumn. We had a great dining experience and relaxing evening. We will recommend Ava to others and look forward to another meal there soon ourselves.

We know chef Randall from Veritas Wine Room in Dallas. He’s done a couple of tastings there, that were truly amazing. So, we were very excited about coming out to Rockwall to try the restaurant. We brought a couple of friends along from Dallas. We were completely blown away! This is our new favorite restaurant without a doubt! Our favorite item on the menu hands down was the wild mushroom Risotto. I had the chef add the duck breast on it, and that made it out of this world!!! A second favorite would be the roasted butternut squash..YUMMO! We are coming back with some Rockwall “locals” this weekend..can’t wait!

Today (28 Jan 10) while passing through Rockwall on my way to a business meeting in Dallas, I told a colleague driving with me that Restaurant Ava is the BEST in Rockwall by far. While describing the Butternut squash soup and the butternut squash ravioli, my mouth actually began watering! Keep up the great work.

For starters, don’t miss the Texas Bibb, Beets and Blue salad or the fried risotto…AWESOME!

For lunch, my all time favorites are the old steak sandwich (no longer have) and the grouper fingers along with the homemade, never frozen, French fries!

But tonight, my husband and I sampled the evening menu and it was hard to pick an entree – they all sounded great. My husband had the scallops with the vegetables that come with that dish and he ordered asparagus. He said, without a doubt, that the vegetables were as good as the scallops. It was his first visit to Restaurant Ava and he said it was incredible. I knew he’d love it.

I had the beef tenderloin with the wonderful pepper corn sauce. It was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were perfect with that dish. I ate every smidgen on my plate! The fresh and homemade bread was divine. It is worth every penny spent for this absolutely delicious food! It’s now my all time favorite restaurant.

Our waiter was terrific too. I’m just so glad to have Restaurant Ava in Rockwall. We’ve come up in the world!

The food is melt-in-your mouth yummy!! I recommend the Beef Tenderloin! Last night was our 2nd trip to AVA and it was as delicious this time as it was the first! Wonderful wine and atmosphere too, but the food is the greatest!! Kudos to the chefs!

We had the sampler plate and loved everything!!! I still dream about my meal there. Can’t wait to go back! My 40th birthday is coming up and Ava was my first choice! So creative and delicious. Wonderfully tempting for the eye and the palate. It was the first time I have ever had a chef come to the table and explain a dish to me! I was floored by the personal touch.Thank you for having such a wonderful place to indulge! :)
