Nate and I are always looking to find new farms and purveyors who believe in the same basic principles that we do. Sustainable, chemical free growing practices. If you know of any persons who are procuring anything edible and you know them to be a reputable source, please share their info with us. We love supporting local.
Easter is Around the Corner!

We’re hosting a brunch buffet on Easter Sunday, April 24th, 2011. We will be open from 10:30 to 2:30 and are currently accepting reservations. It is $39 for adults and $15 for children (10 and under).
We will be serving:
- Wood Roasted Prime Rib
- Roasted Leg of Lamb
- Our Famous “Smoked Gouda Mac ‘n’ Cheese”
- Nate’s Creamed Kale
- Smashed Yukons
- Omelets Crafted to Order
- Eggs Benedict
- House Made Buttermilk Biscuits

Restaurant AVA: Two Years and Counting

We can’t believe it, but time has flow by. We’ve been open for business in Downtown Rockwall for just over two years. As I was cleaning office the other day, I came across our very first wine list. It’s amazing to see the wines that have survived and the wines that have been overtaken by new and interesting favorites.
As our menu continues to evolve, we’re constantly finding new and interesting ways to showcase various items, while still keeping tried and true to the “favorites.”
In these past two years, we’ve been nominated for many outstanding honors, such as the “Best of Big D” through D Magazine. We’ve found ourselves hosting many a Wine Dinner (and the occasional Beer Dinner), pairing wines to perfection with house-crafted dishes. We’ve made relationships with many new farmers and artisans who allow us to feature their exceptional produce and items. We’ve been incredibly honored to participate in the “Chefs for Farmers” event, as well as local competitions and culinary showcases.
These past two years have been incredible for myself, my partner, and our staff. We continue to strive to bring you, our guests, the best experience possible. We would like to humbly thank you all for supporting us throughout these past two years.
